On our last night on the island we decided to have a Mohito tailgate party on a lot that is for sale just down from our new lot.
The sun down and Caribbean ocean view from this lot is really nice.....really nice, I wish I would have looked harder at it before we bought our lot actually.
I was hoping that a friend or relative would buy it......maybe you??? its less than an acre, and selling for $110K I think. Trust me, you will LOVE this lot.......it will be one heck of investment.....but you better HURRYY!

Our Rent House on Palmetto Plantation Roatan Honduras
This is the house we stayed in for 2 weeks......it was just perfect for us. Nice neighbors, safe, quiet, pretty good size, within walking distance to the beach, pool and restaurant area.
It has 2 bunk beds and 2 single beds in one bedroom, and one queen bed in the other bedroom. has bathrooms for each bedroom....and AC in the bedrooms but not elsewhere. It was hot......in the living room if there was no wind although they did have ceiling fans which helped. Hey, you are in the middle of the jungle.......what do you expect.
Snorkel Trip on Roatan Honduras
I take my 5 year old on her first open water snorkel of an old ship wreck. This was her first time to use a mask and snorkel...........she did great!
This is just right off the shore of the Palmetto Plantation about 200 yards or so. Clear water and LOTS to see in just 10 feet of water.....easy for all ages. I wanted to do this at night too, but I did not .....maybe next time.
Palmetto Bay Plantation Roatan Honduras
below are a few picture of the Palmetto Bay community pool, restaurant and bar and 750 feet beach front.
We really liked this place.....very family friendly, about 20 or so full time residents live in this community and there are houses and villas to rent as well.
We visited the pool daily, and ate at the restaurant almost daily as well. Food was great, prices were more than reasonable......and the service and people were wonderful. As you can tell we had the place pretty much to ourself for 2 weeks. There were some really nice neighborhood kids that my kids played with and a handful of vacationer kids came and went during our 2 week stay.
Very nice clean beaches to play on
Andi the super model....
Night times were LOVELY.......at the beach side restaurant.....quiet, smells wonderful........peaceful.
Canoes and a Hobie Cat sailboat are yours to use free of charge........
This is the view from my table at the restaurant.......sigh........I miss that view. That is calm Caribbean ocean just 30 feet past the pool in the picture the camera did not do a very good job of showing it.

Jungle Zip Line Canopy Tour In Roatan Honduras
We are ALL getting ready to go on a jungle canopy zip line adventure. Laura is 3 and Andi is 5.....and they are BRAVE girls. hahah
Andi is more than ready to go on the zip line....."come on dad"
Here goes Laura.......she wanted to be FIRST!
They let the girls go completely by themselves on one leg of the adventure......I was a little nervous, they are totally fine! We are 30 some odd feet in the air!!!
Laura getting ready to go "ALL BY MYSELF"!
The large Boa Constrictor that was about 20 feet from us in a tree.......I showed this picture to the rest of the group AFTER the adventure tour
Our new 1 acre lot on Roatan Honduras
I am standing on the wooden platform in the picture below....this is the Caribbean ocean view from our lot. Our house will sit up another 15-20 feet and the bedrooms will be on the second floor...so the view will be awesome!
You can also see the ocean on the right.....I just did not take a picture of it evidently. sigh
The road ends at our new lot......lot 13. You can not tell by the picture but that is blue Caribbean ocean in the bottom 1 inch of the picture.....it looks like gray sky, and it kinda is.......but we have a lovely view of the ocean.
We are just about 100 yards walk to the private 750 foot white sandy beach, pool and restaurant and bar.
This is the back side of our property, it has about a 20 degree slope from the road above towards the bottom of the lot....and more Cahoun Palms!

Roatan MAY 2007 - Road to Palmetto Bay
More of the 7 mile jungle gravel road from the airport to the Palmetto Bay community.
We actually grew to enjoy the gravel road, it was peaceful, not much traffic at all, and green and lush vegetation to look at.
This momma horse and her baby were NOT going to move out of the way for us.....
Did I mention the road was rough on tires........and this SMAll rental car I got. Next time I'm getting a 4X4
Roatan MAY 2007
This is taken from the 7 mile gravel road from the airport to the Palmetto Bay Plantation community where we bought our property.
There is a large barrier reef system that circles most of the island. You can see it in the picture where the light sandy bottom areas are.
This makes for smoother tidal action at the beach, safety from rough seas and hurricane winds and gives you a great place to snorkel and dive just off the coast line.
